Music rabbit for November 2009

If you ever tried giving up smoking (congrats if they're in order), than you know all about being orally fixated. Or maybe you've tried to quit some other distasteful habits such as putting strange objects into your mouth; same effect, whatsoever. Apparently this is what Roisin is going on about in her latest single, aimed at promoting her new album, that would be the third, though there are no news regarding its title or estimated time of arrival. There are certain rumours, like keeping the same producer (Seiji) though switching from the disco sounds of Overpowered, in favour of darker, more convulsive underground beats, the possible result of a break off with EMI, which fans constantly complained of pushing the ex-Moloko now-pregnant lady to commercial focused tracks. But then, again, these are just rumours, it's best to have a glimpse on your own, so check the link below for "Orally Fixated", a preview meant to put some patience with the fans until the baby thingy is over and the album will be released.
"Galore" was one of those albums I would listen over and over again throughout 2008. If "Galore" was a girl, it's follow up called "Fixin To Thrill" is definitely a boy. Well, we kinda love all Dragonette babies and we promote equal opportunities, right? Ok, I felt I needed to clear that out, just this feeling in my pants.
What else is there? Oh, yeah, like Royksopp's "Junior" needs another introduction, unless you are fudging yourselves stupid and are not paying attention, right? "Tricky Tricky" is a good one, and here is a new remix. The counterpart "Senior" album, meant to put even more strain on the generation gap (not), has been delayed for 2010. Hope it won't die on us, damn it!
And now my favourite girl, Sia, which is out and about these days, living the Australian American dream on her own (not really, she has some queer relationship with one of Le Tigre, you know). She produces tracks for X-tina (lol) Aguilera, fifth long play "We Are Born" is ready to be taken out of the oven beginning 2010, and she keeps us on our toes with covers from Radiohead, Britney Spears and Chris Isaak. Plus, here is a cover for "Under The Milky Way", from the 1988 track signed The Church.
Finally, a remix signed Steve Pitron, one of my favourite DJs this summer. Do some searching on Podcasts and have his regular work delivered to you. For free. Remix is for Florence and the Machine.
That's all, folks! (rabbit grin, face, fuck or whatever)
